April Smith is an experienced educator and author of the book Simplify Your Writing Instruction: A Framework for a Better Writing Block. She began her career in 2008 at a Title One school with a high ELL population. After having the opportunity to work as a district writing coach, she fell in love with supporting (and advocating for) teachers and their students.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to navigate this evolving landscape and empower students to use AI tools ethically and effectively.
